Run rasmaker.exe from the command prompt and extract x_music.ras for the music, x_english.ras for voices. (Run -> cmd -> C:\Program files\Max Payne\rasmaker.exe -x x_music.ras)
Max Payne 2
.ras files are located in the Max Payne 2 directory
mp2_music.ras : background music, Late Goodbye, ambient sounds.
mp2_sounds.ras : sound effects like gunfire, doors, etc.
mp2_english.ras : address unknown, captain baseball bat boy, mobsters, etc
RASMaker2
Install MaxPayne2Tools.exe to get rasmaker2.exe, which extracts the .ras files.
1) Go to www.maxpayne2.com/mods/ and download the "modification tools (22 MB)" under MOD CREATION.
2) Run MaxPayne2Tools.exe and install the program (this takes a while).
3) Copy the .ras files from the Max Payne 2 folder into the same folder as RASMaker2.exe. This should be under MaxPayne2Dev\RasMaker2\
4) Run RASMaker2.exe using the command prompt (Run -> cmd -> C:\Program Files\MaxPayne2Dev\RasMaker2\rasmaker2.exe
5) Extract the .ras file you want (rasmaker2.exe -x mp2_music.ras)
6) A new folder called "data" was created in the Rasmaker2 folder. Follow the folders until you get to the one(s) with all the wavs.
Riffextractor
Riffextractor was used before RASMaker2 was released. This does not need the MaxPayne2Tools.exe.
1) Run the command prompt (Run -> cmd) and go to the folder that you put the riffextractor.exe and .ras files you want to extract in it (mine are both in Max Payne 2).
2) The command to extract is: riffextractor.exe -m mp2_music.ras
3) You will get a bunch of file000##.wav in your folder. See the Max Payne 2 OST list for the file names.
